Hymns for Beginners – Level 1

$98.00

Description

This course is designed for the new pianist. You’ll start at the very beginning, learning how to navigate around your keyboard, learning note names and rhythm basics, as well as learning how to read basic sheet music. You’ll learn to play chords in the keys of C, G, and F, and learn how to confidently play 15 hymns with a variety of chord strategies to make your playing sound more full! If you’ve never played before, but have always wanted to, this course is for you! If you’ve played in the past, but feel like you need a review of the basics, you’ll learn a lot as well!

After you purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all of the downloadable sheet music files. To watch the video lessons, you’ll log in to the course through the website using your email address and a password that will be generated to you (in the confirmation email; you can reset that password at any time). Just click on your course under “My Courses,” and follow the directions on screen. Click on the lesson you’d like to watch, and the video will open. I recommend printing off the music so you can follow along with the video lessons.

Note: Video courses are non-refundable. Please read our refund and exchange policy here.

Can i see the inside of a few sample hymns?

    • natalieraynesmusic

Yes, you can watch a sample lesson and download sheet music for free on the homepage, http://www.natalieraynesmusic.com. 🙂

Is this a good course for a adult, or child that is a absolute beginner, who wants to learn piano for the first time? Or is there another course that needs to be taken before this is one?

      • natalieraynesmusic

This is perfect for the absolute beginner, both children and adults. If the child is under 9 or so, I’d recommend an adult help with the technology aspect, but the content is comprehensible for that age and beyond. The lessons can be watched and re-watched as often as needed. There is not another course before this one. Thank you! 🙂

  5. Linda Huntington

I’m so excited to get started on the course. I received the course as a Christmas gift from my daughter. What a thoughtful and special gift. I will treasure it, enjoy it, and work to glorify Christ through it.

  6. Michael Gene newton

I play mainly by ear. Play for church often, but want to improve. I was afraid the beginner would not be right for me what do you suggest. Thanks and God Bless

    • natalieraynesmusic

I’d recommend the “Foundations in Hymn-Playing” course for you, if you primarily play by ear. If you’re wanting to learn to read music, then go with the Beginner course.

  7. Terry Williams

    Dear Mrs. Raynes

I am having problem getting in my Beginner’s course.

I request a reset for password but never get one.

    • natalieraynesmusic

Hi June, I saw that your password was changed successfully. Were you able to get back in the course?

  9. Hannah Joy

Hi, do I need to pay every time you upload a new feature or I pay once and get to access everything?
    Thanks

    • natalieraynesmusic

      Hi Hannah,

At this point, you can just purchase the items (courses, sheet music, CDs, etc…) that you’re interested in. Our products cover a wide variety of levels and interest, so we don’t have an option to pay once and have access to everything. Thanks so much!

  10. Valiant

Is this different from what you are teaching on YouTube and is this different from the live video class?

    • natalieraynesmusic

      Hi Valiant,

Yes, this course is different. I’ve never presented this content in a YouTube video. It’s a course that starts at the very beginning for a piano student and teaches you to read the music and learn to play 14 different hymns, while learning different chord strategies and patterns. This is a pre-recorded course, so you can watch the lessons as many times as you’d like at your convenience. It’s a much more affordable option than a live one-on-one video lesson.

  11. Jess

Is there a way to order the video portions on DVD instead of logging in each time? We have no way to have a computer at the piano to watch:-/

    • natalieraynesmusic

Hi Jess, We do not have the course available on DVD at this time. So sorry!

  12. Susan

Hello, this looks like a wonderful course! I’m wondering if it’s okay to use this course for my multiple children (all living in my home), or if the purchase is for one individual student? Thank you!

    • Natalie Blanton

You can use it for children in the same home.

  13. Daniel

Hello, is only for English speakers?

    • Natalie Blanton

      Yes.

  14. Marie

Hi! I’m interested in the music of the Beginner course for my daughter, but would like to see the sample music. I looked on the home page as you suggested above, but couldn’t find it. Is it still available?

    • Natalie Blanton

Yes, it’s still available! Send an email to [email protected] to request it, and we’ll send it right away!

  15. Prathap Chatla

Thanks madam, this is the kind of course Iam looking for. Your approach is very good. can you help me find the sheet music for this demo song. Thanks

    • Natalie Blanton

Hi there, just send us an email through the contact page and request it. We’ll send it to you.

  16. Anila

    Dear ma’am,
Just wanted to know whether this amount we have to pay is one time only? Or every month? Here in India we pay monthly fees to learn piano

    • Natalie Blanton

      It’s a one-time fee. 🙂

  17. Mavis Hunt

I am looking forward to starting this course, can read music but need to review other aspects and then move on.Love watching you on u tube. Can’t find how to join up.

    • Natalie Blanton

Hi Mavis, you just add this to your cart and complete check-out. Then you can watch the videos on the website. 🙂

  18. Jennifer Gossett

So if I just want to learn to play hymns at church this is where I start? Would this help with organ playing also?

    • Natalie Blanton

Yes, absolutely! This series starts at the very beginning. 🙂 It would work for piano or organ.
