Psalm 24:10 “Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah”.
Meditate on this. We’re going to spend some time meditating on that question today, “Who is this King?” Not just a babe in a manger, not just a powerful Healer and miracle worker, moving across Judea with His band of followers. He’s not just a prophet declaring the words of His Father. He’s not only our Saviour, willingly laying down His life on a cruel tree. He’s our Resurrected Lord, the King of Kings, reigning on High at the Father’s Throne. The Lamb slain before the foundation of the world is coming back some day, to rule and reign the Heavens and the earth as King Victorious. May the words of Scripture and the songs of hope remind us of His ultimate authority, His sin-conquering atonement on the cross, and His death-defeating resurrection.
From two song-writing friends, with different but complementary styles, comes a brand-new cantata for your church choir, just in time for Easter! With eight original songs and powerful narration that weaves Scripture and inspirational thoughts throughout the program, this cantata is designed to be appropriate for choirs of any level. You can use all of the songs for an SATB grouping, or allow various trios or ensembles to learn some of them as well, utilizing the choir on several key songs. In addition, you can customize the program to meet your choir and church needs, performing as many songs as you’re able to do.
There is no acting required. The narration is conversational and Scriptural, so you won’t need complicated sets or props to present this program to your church.
