Description
3 verses in the key of F. Appropriate for congregational accompaniment. This piece is often a challenge for congregational pianists, but this arrangement will give you confidence to play this piece beautifully and with expression. The first verse uses a simple melody and harmony pattern for the right hand (just two notes at a time), while the left hand plays a simple quarter note and eighth note pattern, connecting the chords. The second verse quickly advances to a four-note chord in the right hand, and lots of connecting motion in the left hand. The third verse will give advanced pianists a challenge, adding multiple 32-note arpeggios and giant leaps. The left hand rhythm is more complex in the third verse as well, adding triplets and a variety of fill-ins between the chords.

Hi,
I really enjoy playing your arrangements, especially the ones with the advanced last verse. After listening to your latest Gaither hymns video I was wondering if you can do a piano arrangement for “Because He Lives” so I could have it practiced up for a church special number this Easter.
Thanks so much for consideration!

I’ll work on this. I have to get different licensing for this song, since it is copyright protected, so I haven’t written out an arrangement yet. I’ll see what I can do. 🙂
