This is a very typical day. 💗 It looks like a juggling act sometimes, and I suppose it is! Each day has so much variety, and I love it!

Life isn’t about finding balance— it’s about doing what you should be in that moment. Every role in my life doesn’t get equal time right now. I’m a wife and mom first, then a business owner. But I’m finding ways to bring a little margin in there these days. We have the sweetest nanny who comes a couple days a week for a couple hours, which allows me to have a few focused hours in the office, catching up on emails/order, and working on creative pursuits, like new arrangements and courses. Bread making has been such a fun hobby I never thought I’d get into, but it’s so fun and relaxing— even when my loaves aren’t as fluffy as I’d like! 😅

This season has so much joy, and I’m loving it. 💙💐🍕 And any day we have homemade pizza for supper is a good day.
Just unloaded a whole cart-full of happy, unsuspecting, thriving plants to their new home. Mine. 😂🪴Every year, I try again. Maybe this will be my time. 🤩✨

There are worse habits. 🤷‍♀️
We sang this simple chorus today during fellowship time, and it’s been on my mind the rest of the day, so I figured I better play it and share it with y’all! Christ is all I need! 💗

Our hymnal lists this as Author Unknown, so if you know who wrote it, please comment! 🧡

Dress is @ivycityco. 💗
We got to take a quick trip to the #lowcountry for our five-year anniversary this week. 💙 He’s my favorite person. 🥰

Happy 5th Anniversary to us! 🥰 I’m so thankful the Lord put us together. His plan is so perfect. God is so kind to allow me to go through life with this man. 💙 He’s been so very good to us, and we give Him all the glory!
As a mom, I have found that it’s super important for me to remember what ACTUALLY matters. A tidy house is important. An organized life can help keep your heart and emotions calm— for sure. But keep an eternal view on all of that. Steward your home to God’s glory, but invest most of your energy into what will last forever— the souls of your family. I don’t want my children to feel like an inconvenience. They matter more than my home having the perfect “instagram aesthetic.” 💗

In other news— THESE SHEETS. 🤩 Emily got them for me for my birthday, and they’re from @cozyearth . You can use code EMILYANN40 for a MAJOR discount. They feel amazing!
We had the sweetest time with our family this evening, celebrating Asher’s 1st Birthday! We love this little guy so much!

I kept it super simple with some cute decor from Amazon. (I totally stole the theme idea from my friend @miriamjschell after she used it for her little guy’s birthday a few weeks ago! 😅✈️)

The cookies were made by @royallyrogerscookies. Her work is AMAZING, and the cookies are delicious.

If you’d like the links to the decor and balloons, comment ✈️ and I’ll send them to you!

We also got to celebrate my grandma (dad’s mom) and my papaw (mom’s dad) since they’re April birthdays too! Just a wonderful evening… 💙
I just really love this song. 💜 the uncertainties of life may be really heavy for you right now, but you can still rest in the unchanging character of God!

Sourdough Cheese Crackers

2 Tablespoons butter
1 cup flour (I used FM soft red winter wheat); you can use AP if you’d like
3/4 cup sourdough discard
3/4 cup shredded cheddar (you could use any shredded cheese)
Salt for sprinkling

1. Preheat oven to 375 with two racks in, spaced relatively equally apart.
2. Combine the butter and flour in a medium mixing bowl. Using your hands, rub the butter into the flour until it looks like sand. Pour in the sourdough starter and gently mix. Add the cheddar cheese and combine. (If you’d like add some Italian seasoning to the mix) If necessary, use your hands to make sure
the dough forms a ball.
3. Turn the dough out onto a piece of parchment paper and top with a second piece of
parchment. Roll out as thin as you can using a rolling pin. Cut into squares using a pastry wheel and place the squares on two parchment-lined or greased baking sheets. Sprinkle generously with kosher salt
4. Bake for 6 minutes, then switch the baking sheets. Bake for another 6 min. The crackers should be crisp with slightly browned edges. Allow to cool directly on the baking sheet. Serve immediately, or let fully cool and transfer to airtight container and store for up to 2 days.

This recipe is basically from @heartscontentfarmhouse. Her baking guide is such a great resource for new sourdough bakers!
Evolution of a song… 😅 I keep a Note on my iPad called “Songs I Need to Finish.” Once a song is done, it gets moved off that list and onto a different document! Then, the fun begins! Our family learns it by ear, and that helps me craft the arrangement. Then, it’s time to put it to sheet music and make it available for y’all. (This is just the audio playing from my computer speakers while I recorded it on my phone… the actual MP3 file you get with purchase sounds super good! 🤩🎶) I finished “Pray Again” today, so I decided to document the steps in the process. There’s a lot to it, and I love it all. 🎹
I was already buying all of these products at Walmart and on Amazon. I just switched stores. No change in my budget, but a BIG change in the quality of products I brought into our home. For me, it was a wonderful decision as I strive to steward my home to the best of my ability. Same dollars—being spent on better products— from a debt free company that is pro-life, pro-freedom, and pro-faith. That’s a win. 🌿🤩

(And I’m not selling anything! Haha! I just get to refer other people to the store, like I enjoy referring for other companies I support!) Comment WELLNESS if you’d like some no-obligation information.
